August 24, 2019, marks the 6th annual celebration of Avila’s apple-growing heritage with the Avila Apple Festival. This year’s event is a celebration of the Avila Beach Civic Association’s 60th birthday. Our afternoon party will begin at the San Luis Yacht Club on Avila Pier from 3:30-4:30 p.m. with appetizers and a brief history of Avila Beach. The party will then move to the Avila Beach Community Center Healing Garden, 191 San Miguel Street, from 4:30-7 p.m.
Featured will be entertainment by the group “Not Street Legal” with Lyne Hamel and Ron Pagan. There will be wine, beer, and cider tastings, demonstrations by local chefs, apple-inspired appetizers and sliders, and a silent auction. This event is for guests 21 and over only. Tickets are $40/person presale and $45/person at the door and you can begin at the Yacht Club or the Community Center.
