Stories Matter is a live, curated story performance featuring Black community members telling true personal stories around the theme, Break Out!
The storyteller line-up features a dynamic mix of youth and elders — from a young actor turned activist who becomes a father, to Dr. Ruby Simpkins, a physician and poet who weaves true tales to heal the soul and body. This unique entertainment experience is for everyone who enjoys stories well told! Doors open at 3:00 pm with music and mingling. Come early to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and the beautiful, open-air, Bang the Drum Brewery in their new location.
