This is a man who has traveled all the way from the 18th century to be with us and tell us a bit about his remarkable life. During his 84 years, he became an innovative and successful businessman; an influential writer and publisher; an internationally honored scientist and inventor; a man of enormous social conscience and contribution; and a key Founding Father of our country—indeed, the “First American,” as many have called him. We have asked him to make this unusual trip across the centuries to share some reflections about those traits that made him “healthy, wealthy, and wise.” Please join us in welcoming the First American, the remarkable Dr. Benjamin Franklin to San Luis Obispo!
