As a student-created, student-performed production at the intersection of social justice and theatre, OWN explores the countless stories of taking ownership of or defying expectations of gender. OWN features stories of being socialized as womxn or experiences of womxnhood in body, mind, and/or spirit, be that in past, present, future, and/or fluid. OWN centers stories from women-identified, femme, nonbinary/gender non-conforming, and/or other marginalized gender identities.

Please be aware that the subject matter and language in the show is strong, deals explicitly with trauma, and may be inappropriate for young viewers. We will have Advocates from Safer present to process any show content after each show.

To create a space that is accessible to as many people as possible, we plan to have 1-2 ASL Interpreters working for the full length of the show.
