This year’s concert will carry the listener around the world as percussion music is performed that evokes the power of Native American drumming, the island beauty of Hawaiian marimbas, the mystery of Aztec ritual ceremony, and a piece performed entirely on pieces of wood! Composers John Luther Adams, Lou Harrison and even Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys will be featured.
