Take It SLO, a Cal Poly a cappella ensemble, will present its annual Holiday Concert at 1 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, in Room 218 in the Davidson Music Center (Building 45) on campus.
The 13-member vocal ensemble will perform a variety of songs designed to raise the holiday spirit, plus some new works and old favorites, all arranged by students. The group’s members represent a variety of majors on campus.
Take It SLO has released multiple CDs, including “Let It SLO,” its Christmas album featuring songs the group will perform at its Dec. 6 shows. In addition, the group has a five-song recording called “SLO Motion,” which was released in spring 2014. “SLO Motion,” “Let It SLO,” and the ensemble’s other past albums are available for download from iTunes, Spotify and Loudr.fm.
Admission to the holiday concert is $7 at the door for the public and $5 for students.
The Take It SLO concerts are sponsored by Cal Poly’s College of Liberal Arts, Music Department, and Instructionally Related Activities program.
