For decades, San Luis Obispo community members have worked to protect natural lands, clean air and water, and public health, making climate action a top priority. Their efforts helped lead to the City’s Climate Action Plan for Community Recovery, adopted in 2020, which aims for carbon neutrality by 2035. With strong community support, the City has made real progress through greenbelt conservation, cleaning up our City’s electricity supply, building bike lanes, rolling out organic waste composting, and more.
Join us to share your thoughts, concerns and ideas around how we invest in the future of our community. We’ll explore the alternative futures we currently face as a local community, and learn how natural solutions, green buildings, clean energy systems, transportation, increased housing options and other pathways can reduce climate pollution and improve the quality of life in San Luis Obispo.
