Point Buchon Trail
Point Buchon Trail offers some of the most scenic views of the Central Coast coastline, perfectly preserved and protected by PG&E. After the steep walk up the road to the PG&E check in station, the trail is mostly flat as it hugs the coastline. This class will focus on capturing the flora and fauna of the shoreline and cliffs, as well as the impressive seascapes.

Join artist/instructor Paula DeLay and health and safety expert Sarah Hawkins for the ALL NEW Art In Motion hiking series.
Art in Motion gives participants the opportunity to explore local trails with expert guidance and experience the natural world through movement and art. We’ll start the day with some gentle exercises to warm up our bodies for the hike. Once we hit the trail, Sarah will point out the local flora, fauna, and natural history of the trail as well as provide safety (and snacks!) for all participants.
At certain points along the way, we’ll stop for art lessons from Paula. You will be introduced to:
– Basic plein air (outdoor) painting techniques (i.e., how to effectively identify your subject)
– Field sketching
– Field watercolor
