A community sunset hike in the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Refuge is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, 2023 from 3:30pm to 5:30 pm. This hike is sponsored by The Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center and the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and will be led by Ray Segovia. The hike will begin at 3:30pm (please plan to arrive between about 10-15 minutes early). It will be a casual/moderate walk through the dunes with some elevation gain of 300 ft, about 2.5-3 hours round-trip. We suggest you dress in layers and bring water and snacks. Closed-toed shoes are recommended as the habitat is coastal dune scrub and there is the possibility of poison oak and ticks in the natural dune areas. For more information, email [email protected]. Heavy rain cancels this trip.
We will be limiting the number of people attending this hike and parking is limited, please register early!
There is limited space. We look forward to seeing you there!
