The Sierra Club Santa Lucia Chapter cordially invites you to a half-day kayaking excursion of Morro Bay. Learn about the marine wildlife while paddling out to the dunes to explore the cultural legacy of the Chumash people and learn about the proposed Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary.

Enjoy a talk on the natural and cultural heritage on the Central Coast and learn about the proposed Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary.
Explore the sand dunes and Chumash shell middens. Erin Aiello, a Cal Poly grad student will discuss her research on eelgrass decline and restoration in Morro Bay. Mandy Davis, veteran nature guide will discuss the flora and fauna of the Estuary.

There will be live music by the Cimo Brothers on the sand spit and a bag lunch provided.
