FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY & FOOD STYLING WORKSHOP!
Ask and you shall receive. I’m doing another workshop on food photography and food styling—and this time I’m teaming up with other creatives to bring you an all-day back-to-back workshop series at The Station! This is your chance to spend an entire day getting your creative juices flowing with hand lettering, floral arranging, portrait photography, and cocktail crafting. Tickets are limited (only 7 spots left), snag a seat while you still can!

8:30 – 10:00 AM — Handlettering with Sadie of Sadie A Design (@saderade)
Join Sadie as she teaches you how letters are constructed and how to add fun character to them to create an art piece. She will cover several letterforms, faux calligraphy, brush lettering, basic layout principles, and materials to use. Whether for Instagram inspiration or desk decoration, you’re sure to walk away with the skills to create something amazing.
10:00 – 11:30 AM — Food photography + Food Styling with Kendra of The San Luis Obispo Farmers’ Market Cookbook (@kendraaronson)
Let’s play with food! The San Luis Obispo Farmers’ Market Cookbook author, food photographer, and food stylist Kendra Aronson will teach you the basics of food photography from food styling techniques to prop sourcing, pre-shoot prep to post-production, DSLR camera settings to iPhone camera apps.

Spring-inspired spring rolls with dipping sauce, an udon noodle salad , and sticky date and black sesame macaron. Please note: this meal is gluten-free with the option of adding meat to the spring rolls or noodle salad. Vegan lunches available upon request.
1:00 – 2:30 PM — Flower Arranging with Tiana of Aurelia Flora (@aurelia.flora)
Tiana Ross of Aurelia Flora will guide you through the basics of designing your own seasonal floral centerpiece. By utilizing foraged foliage and carefully curated blooms, she will demonstrate how to design minimally and with intention. We will also discuss color transition, adding depth and texture to arrangements, and taking risks.
3:00 – 4:30 PM — Portrait Photography with Alexandra of Alexandra Wallace Photography (@thelittlealli/@coyoteandoak)
A crash course in snagging the perfect portrait in any lighting condition, whether it’s on your DSLR or smartphone. Learn how to pose your subject, nail the shot, and ask Alexandra anything you’ve been wanting to know about photography!
5:00 – 6:30 PM — Cocktail Making with Lauren of Yes Cocktail Co. (@yescocktailco)
Craft cocktails made easy! Cocktail enthusiasts get a chance to delve deeper into cocktail history and refine their mixology knowledge. This class will explore bar basics, tools, techniques and syrup making with hands on opportunities and (champagne, vermouth, vodka, and gin) cocktails shared amongst the group!
The Station is San Luis Obispo’s oldest gas station re-imagined into a mixed use space for work, events, and a curated wine & goods shop. Wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages available throughout the two hour workshop. Guests must be 21 and over to attend this session.
