Employment law firm LightGabler is presenting a seminar on “Harassment, Discrimination, Retaliation and Bullying Prevention Training for Supervisors,” Thursday, November 30 from 10:00 a.m. to noon in San Luis Obispo.
California law requires companies with 50 or more employees provide their supervisors with at least two hours of sexual harassment and bullying prevention training every two years. New supervisors must be trained within six months of starting their supervisory position. The training program is also open to supervisors at companies with less than 50 employees.
LightGabler employment attorney Jonathan Fraser Light will conduct the training program that will cover harassment, discrimination, retaliation, bullying as well as how to address employee complaints and better protect the workplace from costly employment claims.
Attendees will receive a training acknowledgment form to sign and return to their employers showing that they have completed the program.
The seminar will take place at the Courtyard Marriott, 1605 Calle Joaquin, San Luis Obispo. The fee is $50 per person. Seating is limited.
Reservations for the November 30 seminar are required and can be made by going to http://www.lightgablerlaw.com and clicking on “Seminars.” Attendance is limited to no more than four people per company per training. Larger groups can be scheduled as in-house sessions. For questions, contact Kristine Chatari, 805-248-7089, [email protected].
