Locally-owned restaurants Luna Red in downtown San Luis Obispo is Thanksgiving traditions alive while still adapting to the new world of Covid. Luna Red Restaurant will be offering a socially-distanced Thanksgiving pre-fixe meal starting at $48 per person featuring new twists on mom’s classic dishes. Start with cuban pumpkin soup, farmer salad, or roasted beet waldorf, and then savor brined organic Diestel turkey, cornmeal crusted trout, portuguese-style short rib, or calabaza enchilada (vegan option).
Shareable plates and house made desserts are available as well. For the first time, Luna Red will also be offering Thanksgiving Dinner, to-go to help make your day easy and guaranteed delicious. Their takeaway dinner is available for pre-order now through 11/20 and comes complete with house-brined organic diestel turkey, local artisan bread stuffing, farmer salad, roasted brussel sprouts and green beans, buttermilk mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, citrus-mint cranberry sauce, and house rolls. One dinner pack is portined to feed four ($160) so it’s easily scalable to groups of any size. And we can’t forget about dessert; whole pumpkin cheesecake, deep dish apple pie and chocolate pecan tarts are also available for pre-order.
