Marketing Law 101 – a lively presentation on current trends and topics within the marketing and consumer protection space including claims (substantiation), puffery, disclosures, social media influencers, fair use, and right of publicity. Joe is currently an in-house corporate counsel for MINDBODY,
Inc. supporting all commercial activities. Joe’s practice focuses
primarily on transactional matters. Joe previously worked in
house at Pratt & Whitney in San Diego, CA before being recruited
(easily) to live on the Central Coast. Joe received a B.S. in Business
Management from Pepperdine University and a J.D., with a
concentration in Intellectual Property, from Whittier Law School.
Joe serves on the board for the SLO County Bar Association and
was named a Top 20 under 40 by the Tribune in 2018. Joe lives in
SLO with his wife, 4-year-old daughter, a disgruntled orange
tabby, and three chickens.
