In his first year of college Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his first speech and there
became a Civil Rights leader. He’s still speaking to us today, said Barry Stokes,
NAACP SLO county president.
“You still can hear him, feel him, see him with us at our celebration of his
birthday,” Stokes said.
Through music, poetry, historical video footage and Dr. King’s own words the ‘At
The Table with Dr. King” live performance immerses us in King’s fight for social
justice. It connects his legacy to modern-day actions and leadership.
The San Luis Obispo County NAACP is hosting ‘At The Table with Dr. King’ Jan. 17
at the Agape Church, doors open 5:30p, event at 6p
The NAACP is offering this experience at no charge.
