An exclusive recording artist for Sony Classical, Emanuel Ax is a Grammy-winning American pianist and a teacher at the Julliard School of Music. He is a frequent, committed partner for chamber music and has worked regularly with such artists as Yo-Yo Ma, Young Uck Kim, Cho-Liang Lin, Edgar Meyer, Peter Serkin, Jaime Laredo, and the late Isaac Stern. In celebration of Beethoven’s 250th birthday, the virtuoso’s program will include Beethoven’s Bagatelle No. 25 in A minor, “Für Elise;”Piano Sonata No. 2 in A Major, Op. 2, No. 2; six variations on an original theme for Piano in F Major, Op. 34; Piano Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 2, No. 1; five variations for piano on “Rule, Britannia!;” and Piano Sonata No. 3 in C Major, Op. 2, No. 3.
