The San Luis Obispo Arts Council is excited to announce a poetry and memoir reading by nationally published local writers Kevin Clark and Ginger Hendrix at 4:30 PM on Sunday, June 12th in the Indoor Pavilion of The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden. The Garden is located at 3450 Dairy Creek Road, just off Hwy 1 across from Cuesta College. Parking is free and the suggested donation at the door is $10.
Both writers will be reading from new books that focus on personal moments that consecrate joy out of hardship and convert struggle into beauty. Organized by the SLO County Arts Council and sponsored by Native Trails, the reading is partnering with Templeton Performing Arts, Hanging Lantern Review, and The Botanical Garden. After the reading, there will be music while desserts, and wine will be served. Both authors will sign their books, which will be for sale.
