Our spring concert has at its centerpiece the co-commissioned piece My People are Risingset to a poem by Arab American poet Mohja Kahf about the conflict in Syria. The concert will be balanced with other pieces expressing resilience, including Chapo Pou Fanm (Hats Off to Women), A Blessing of Cranes and Rise Up. This uplifting concert will feature violinist Brynn Albanese of Café Musique fame as well as Keeth CrowHawk on Arab percussion. Also on the program are the young women of Vivace from the Central Coast Youth Chorus.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door ($10 for students)
