Do you have ideas to make San Luis Obispo more resilient to extreme heat, wildfire, flooding, and drought? Considering joining a Working Group to share your input!
Join a Working Group to learn about how climate change will impact San Luis Obispo and brainstorm strategies to help our city prepare and respond to climate change, increased risk of extreme heat, wildfire, flooding, and drought. Meetings will take place virtually on Zoom, so please register in advance for the group(s) you would like to attend. Each meeting will focus on one of four topics, listed below.
- Environmental Justice Working Group – Monday, July 19th from 6-7 PM
- Zoom Registration Link
- The Environmental Justice Working Group will focus on issues related to social equity, environmental health (such as exposure to pollution), and elevating disadvantaged communities in public decision-making.
Community Working Groups are free and open to all. Please share this community opportunity widely with friends, family, and neighbors! We look forward to hearing your input on topics critical to the resilience of our community!
Working Groups are part of Resilient SLO, the City of SLO’s planning initiative to prepare for, and build community resilience to, the impacts of climate change. If you have questions regarding these opportunities, or the Resilient SLO project, please contact myself or Teresa McClish at [email protected].
