We believe that every child in San Luis Obispo County deserves and benefits from
environmental education. The purpose of the coalition is to build capacity for climate and
environmental literacy inside and outside San Luis Obispo County classrooms.
We are a coalition of Environmental Education stakeholders that include nonprofits, schools and
public agencies. We bring people together to collaborate on environmental efforts in the county.
We hope to build a future where every child receives climate literacy education, both inside and
outside the classroom.
We’re excited to have our second meeting of the SLO County Environmental Education
Coalition on June 13th from 1:00-4:00pm. City Farm SLO will be hosting us this time! Our
theme for this time together is community resilience. Join us to learn more about some of our
partner organizations, tour the farm, hear from a dynamic speaker, and share ideas and
resources to build our capacities!
