NOW SEEKING: passionate volunteers to assist with planning and coordinating our 2019 SLO Community Walk. The walk committee will hold our 2019 inaugural planning meeting on Tuesday, April 23rd at 6 PM at the SLO Library. If you’re interested in volunteering to help to plan and put on our walk or in learning more… please join us.
Committee members do things such as:
- assist with publicity and promotion of the walk itself including participation at pre-walk events
- seek out sponsorships for the walk
- ask for raffle donations and organize the raffle
- coordinate volunteers
- handle walk logistics on the day of the walk
- educate and inform the general public on AFSP and our available programs for education, advocacy, and support and the cutting-edge medical research AFSP is able to fund
