Jensen Lorenzen of Larder Meat Co. and Kendra Aronson, author of the SLO Farmers Market Cookbook, will be giving a presentation about our passion for strengthening the local food economy and how we forged unique entrepreneurial paths in San Luis Obispo based on our love of food—and the incredible folks that play an important part in bringing that food to our tables.
We have been invited to talk by Girls Going Greater—a group of powerful women who come together in exploration of celebrating the joy of sharing and giving, while contributing to women and children on the Central Coast; the proceeds of this event will benefit RISE—a non-profit that provides crisis intervention and treatment services to survivors of sexual and intimate parter violence and their loved ones; and we are being graciously hosted by SLO Provisions—an amazing eatery that offers all-day take-away and dine-in options with house-roasted rotisserie meats, family-style dinners, specialty sandwiches, farm-fresh salads, and rustic-style baked goods, as well as signature drinks, coffees, wine and beer.
If you are a woman living on the Central Coast and available this Thursday evening, please join this free event—even if you are unable to give financial support. Showing up to listen, learn, and spread awareness is just as powerful!
