Increased traffic congestion and safety concerns along Hwy 227 between Tank Farm Road and Los Ranchos Road led the SLOCOG Board in June 2015 to fund an Operational Analysis of the corridor. In partnership with SLO County, SLO City and Caltrans, SLOCOG is asking residents and business owners along the corridor to meet and review the draft recommendations from the analysis.

This study is exploring short- and longer-term improvements to address traffic congestion, access, and safety in the corridor. The purpose of the workshop will be to review concepts for improvements in the corridor, which will inform the completion of the draft study. It is expected that the draft study will be presented to the Board this summer, released for additional public input, and brought back to the Board in late summer or fall for consideration of adoption.
