Join us next Monday to hear how Cal Poly is making waves in Cyber Security Education. Bill Britton (Cal Poly’s Interim Chief Information Officer and Director of the Cyber Security Center) will introduce us to Cal Poly’s new Cyber Security Center and the coursework that has made Cal Poly’s Computer Science grads some of the most sought after in the nation. At Camp San Luis Obispo, Northrup Grumman sponsored the building of the high-tech cyber lab and the department hired new faculty members who are specially trained in cybersecurity. Those teachers have since developed a series of courses dedicated to training the cybersecurity pros of tomorrow.
Bill Britton is a wealth of knowledge in this field and Cal Poly brought him to the Central Coast at the onset of this innovative program, and there is surely much more in store as it comes to maturity.
We look forward to seeing you at TechBrew next Monday for what I hope is the first of many presentations showcasing the unique tech that Cal Poly has right here in our town.
