San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre invites the public to a special preview of the award-winning play, Rabbit Hole, on Thursday, October 5. Proceeds of tickets sales to this dress rehearsal will support Hospice SLO County.
Tickets range from $30-45 and each ticket includes admittance to a wine reception beginning at 6:00 p.m. The performance will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize, Rabbit Hole is a play written by David Lindsay-Abaire and directed by Ron Clark. The play is about Becca and Howie Corbett, who have everything a family could want until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. Rabbit Hole charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day.
While many are familiar with Hospice SLO County’s in-home respite care for those with life-limiting illness, the organization has also been supporting the community in coping with grief and loss for more than four decades. Their individual grief counseling and support groups are available to anyone who is dealing with a death, no matter how recently or long ago, or coping with a life-altering illness. When a school, group or organization in San Luis Obispo County has a loss, Hospice SLO County’s community response team provides on-site support and education.
For over 40 years, Hospice SLO County has been providing services free of charge and continues to rely 100% on community donations, fundraising events, grants and bequests.
SLO REP has generously donated all ticket sales of this dress rehearsal to benefit Hospice SLO County. Tickets are $30 – $45. Wine reception begins at 6:00 p.m. Theatre doors open at 6:45 p.m. Performance begins promptly at 7:00 p.m.
