On October 6, the Annual Surfing for Hope Longboard Surf Contest and Family Fun Fair will be held at the Pismo Beach Promenade. The contest is open to ages 10 and up with a variety of divisions. All proceeds from Surfing for Hope will benefit the Hearst Cancer Resource Center (HCRC) at French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, California. The fair will include activities for the whole family, live music, food vendors, and more! Special vendors will also include businesses and organizations which support, educate and help people who are going through the cancer experience.
