Adriana Lemus’ work ranges from abstract to realistic pieces inspired by the figure. She works primarily in ceramic sculpture and painting and is currently working on a series of figure paintings and abstract ceramic sculptures, exploring ways to empower the female figure. Born in San Luis Obispo, CA, Adriana was raised by artistic parents. Her father’s work has been a huge inspiration for her own work. She graduated May of 2015 with a B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley. She has shown in San Luis Obispo, Oakland, and multiple times at the Worth Ryder Art Gallery at UC Berkeley.
Whether you are an aspiring artist or just looking to explore your creative side, Art Bar will help you create a painting that is uniquely yours.
Teaching Style: As an artist, I tend to focus more on paying attention to detail and mixing beautiful colors. Some of my Art Bar paintings might seem hard at first but I believe that everyone is an artist and we are capable of a lot more than we think. During the workshop, you can try to paint the same way I do or find your own style. You will learn how to begin a painting by working from a photo, grid your canvas, mix colors, and understand perspective. I guarantee that the more workshops you attend, the better artist you will become!
The $40 fee includes a canvas that you will take home, paints to use during the workshop, instruction from our resident artist and a glass of wine.
The Station is San Luis Obispo’s oldest gas station re-imagined into a mixed use space for work, events, and a curated wine & goods shop. Wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages available throughout the two hour workshop. Guests must be 21 and over to attend this session.
Due to limited seating and high demand of workshop tickets, we ask that you give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or receive a refund.
