In 1997 as a freshman at Cal Poly, Beau Kramer started Kramer Events with 2 turntables which he stored under his dorm room bed. Known as “DJ Beau” he Dj-ed downtown SLO at the original SLO Brew and Mother’s Tavern for many years which eventually led him to doing weddings — sometimes three a weekend — all while earning a Computer Engineering degree and MBA from Cal Poly. By 2008, business was booming and Beau decided to bring on additional DJs and brought on his wife, Melissa Kramer to head sales and marketing. Since then, Kramer Events has grown to 30 team members and is an event production company that provides DJs, event lighting, photo booth, event coordination and entertainment for more than 200 weddings and events each year.
