Grab lunch from your favorite local restaurant (or your kitchen) and join us on Friday from 12 – 12:30 PM on Facebook LIVE for a stimulating conversation with SLO Chamber President/CEO, Jim Dantona and SLO County Board Supervisor, Dawn Ortiz-Legg!

After getting the nod from Gov. Gavin Newsom on Nov. 20 to serve as the appointed San Luis Obispo County supervisor for the 3rd District, replacing late Supervisor Adam Hill, Dawn Ortiz-Legg officially stepped into the role as a voting member of the Board this Tuesday. However, Dawn is no stranger to local politics. In 2016, she ran as the Democratic candidate for State Assembly and since 2018, she has served as the SLO County planning commissioner for the County’s 3rd District. With a background in energy — including work on the Topaz Solar Farm project in 2010 and currently as part of PG&E — as well as a Masters in US Foreign Policy & Climate Change Policy from Johns Hopkins, Dawn has spent a great deal of the last decade working with government at its many levels.
