About this week’s guest: Michael Latner is professor of political science at Cal Poly, faculty scholar at the Institute for Advanced Technology and Public Policy, and a senior fellow at the Union of Concerned Scientists’ Center for Science and Democracy in Washington, D.C. He teaches courses on political participation, campaigns and elections, and voting rights and representation. His previous work on partisan gerrymandering has been cited by the Supreme Court of the United States, and his next co-authored book: Gerrymandering the States: Race, Partisanship and the Rewriting of American Federalism, is forthcoming from Cambridge University Press.
