The Foundation for the Performing Arts Center (Foundation) will debut its new brand and website at this weekend’s BravoSLO event to be held at the Performing Arts Center, San Luis Obispo.
The new brand is now aligned with the Performing Arts Center, and the website provides a more compelling story to match the Foundation’s impact within the San Louis Obispo community. Funding for the project was generously provided by the Hind Foundation.
“This project would never have come to fruition without the energy and vision of the late Greg Hind, whose passion for the Performing Arts Center and the mission of the Foundation has been indelibly linked to the support his foundation has provided us over the years,” said Foundation Executive Director, Heather Cochrane. “Greg challenged us to “go big” –creating a brand and website that truly reflected the mission and vision of the Foundation for the Performing Arts Center; and for that we are truly grateful.”
As part of a multi-year strategic planning process, the brand and website redesign will more closely align the Foundation brand with that of the Performing Arts Center, San Luis Obispo and develop a more contemporary website that better tells the story of the Foundation and its importance within the community.
“We sent eight local agencies the RFP for this project and went through a significant exercise to ensure our very ambitious goals could be met in terms of creative execution, program management and budget,” said Curt Van Inwegen, a member of the Foundation Board of Directors and the project leader.
The Foundation chose the local firm, Amplexity for the creative design and technical development, which included local talent Anne Stahl and Alexandre Lacerda.
The public is invited to both the Oct. 19 BravoSLO event as well as an open house at the FPAC offices at 550 Dana Street in San Luis Obispo, in conjunction with Art after Dark festivities on Nov. 1 featuring wines from the Foundation Winery Partners.
