Model Drug, a retail pharmacy that specializes in long-term care and home medical equipment at low prices, is moving to the Central Coast and will open its doors in Pismo Beach on July 20.
“We are proud to open our Pismo Beach store, our second location, and would like to extend a warm welcome to the community,” Model Drug’s President and CEO, Russ Zakarian said.
On Saturday, July 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Model Drug will be hosting a free health fair including: free blood pressure screenings, drug interaction consultation, expired medication drop off, free meters to monitor diabetes as well as free refreshments and a drawing for a free lift chair and a variety of gift baskets. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and the drawings will take place at 2:00 p.m. Must be present to win.
Model Drug will also provide free consultation with a pharmacist to help condense medication and reduce medication costs.
Model Drug’s sister company, A-Z Home Medical Equipment will be offering a variety of home medical equipment such as: bath safety equipment, mobility equipment, wheelchairs, lift chairs, recliners, powered mobility such as electric scooters and electric wheelchairs, orthopedic items and incontinence supplies and much more.
