Elevate Church, Generosity Feeds and the San Luis Coastal Unified School District are hosting a food preparation event on Sunday January 25 to prepare 10,000 meals for those in need. The group is currently accepting donations and scheduling volunteers.
These meals will assist struggling families with children in SLO County schools.
For only two hours volunteers will package the nutritious meals at Laguna Middle School’s multi-purpose room starting at 10:30 a.m. Each meal includes a dried beans and rice mixture, made with all natural products, free of preservatives like MSG, nitrate, and also non-GMO.
Once the meals are prepared, they will be distributed to schools in SLO County so they may serve the families in greatest need. Everyone in our community is invited to donate and/or participate in this great cause (families with kids as young as three can serve together).
