A new year brings new afternoon programming this week to Central Coast public radio listeners. KCBX introduces a brand new lineup of award-winning shows, by listener request. 
 
Beginning Jan. 1, 2013, several new programs, including, an expansion of “All Things Considered”, the Central Coast’s most listened-to afternoon news program, Monday-Thursday 4:30-6:30 p.m. and Friday 5-6 p.m. “Fresh Air” with Terry Gross, Monday-Friday, 3-4 p.m. “Marketplace”, the only national daily business program originating on the west coast, Monday-Friday 4-4:30 p.m. New special feature shows include “TED Radio Hour” Tuesday 1-2 p.m., “Radiolab” Sunday 10-11 a.m. and “The Dinner Party” Friday 2-3 p.m., among many more.
 
In addition, KCBX will feature local programs such as “The Reluctant Therapist,” Tuesday 2-3 p.m., “Issues and Ideas,” Wednesday 1-2 p.m., “Central Coast Voices,” Thursday 1-2 p.m., and a new classical music program, “KCBX In Concert,” that showcases the San Luis Obispo SymphonyFestival Mozaic, and other Central Coast performing groups, 6:30-8 p.m.
