San Luis Obispo-based MINDBODY continues to grow and is now set to expand its facilities. The software company will not leave its current location at 4051 Broad St. but plans to create a campus by expanding into existing buildings at their current site. The planned expansion will add 35,900 square feet over the next year through a phased move into other buildings, which will nearly double the 42,000 square-foot office space they currently occupy. The growth is necessary to accommodate an estimated 200 additional jobs that MINDBODY is looking to create in the next year, growing its current SLO workforce of 460 by 43 percent. According to insiders, MINDBODY will build new headquarters in SLO in the fall of 2014. The anticipated addition will add another 63,000 square feet and will be in a site adjacent to the current location and will include a childcare center, auditorium, a large cafeteria and parking for up to 1,000 employees.
