InsightStudio nameA new SLO Chamber business program designed around the needs recently expressed through the annual membership survey launched in late November to strong interest.

Insight Studio is a program intended to provide educational, inspirational and relationship-building opportunities for the community and local businesses. The first Insight Studio event – a trip to Google’s famed Mountain View campus – sold out within hours of the launch.

The January 24 trip to Google will offer participants the opportunity to learn about the renowned employee culture at the search engine giant and how it drives company success. The trip will be followed by three Insight Studio seminars in the spring and a speaker event in the fall.

“Our members have repeatedly expressed a great desire for the Chamber to create opportunities that allow them to learn from out-of-area business thought leaders as well as connect and learn from one another,” explained SLO Chamber President/CEO Ermina Karim. “We continually strive to bring people together for meaningful experiences that allow for relationship building and business growth.”

Two sessions focusing on how to survive and thrive in the online world will be held during the Google trip with specific sessions focusing on driving traffic to online businesses and on driving people to brick-and-mortar businesses.

A wait list of those interested in attending a future trip to Google or to a similar business has been started and names can be added here.

The 2014 Insight Studio business series is being sponsored by Charter Business.
