Two popular restaurants are expanding into downtown SLO in the next couple weeks. The owners of Fattoush Taste of the Mediterranean will be opening a new project on Garden Street, and a South Lake Tahoe hot spot is opening on Higuera Street. According to insiders Downtown Boba, opening later this month at 1133 Garden St., will offer a family atmosphere serving boba drinks, smoothies, baklava, Turkish coffee, Persian tea and strawberry kabobs. A block away at 857 Higuera St., The Naked Fish will offer sushi and small plate Asian fusion dishes. The original The Naked Fish opened in South Lake Tahoe in 1999.
