Insiders report the ownership group of The Creamery at 570 Higuera St. is working with an architect for a facelift on the beloved property. SLO Creamery LLC is collaborating with new and existing tenants on several improvements including the newly opened Foremost Wine Company and the expansion of the Bikram Yoga San Luis Obispo studio which will include long awaited shower and restroom facilities. The historic establishment, which at one time shipped 1.2 million pounds of butter from ports along the coast, has for years been home to shops, restaurants and local artisans. Meanwhile, Leonard Cohen, owner of Ciopinot is in negotiations with the Davidson family for a possible lease on a new restaurant at 669 Higuera St. called Prime 669. His third restaurant, Olde Port Inn in Avila Beach, is scheduled to close escrow in the coming days.
