What could be more relaxing than the gentle sound of waves lapping on the shore of a secluded Central Coast beach?
The Sea Life Center of Avila Beach has announced the release of its brand new CD, Sounds of the Sea: for Relaxation. Local musician Ted Waterhouse and author/kayaker Rob Mohle recorded the CD at various locations throughout the Central Coast.
The recording includes nine soundtracks of uniquely different ocean and marine life sounds recorded on site in locations such as the Morro Bay Estuary, sea caves in Shell Beach and other secluded beaches. The CD includes more than an hour of relaxing listening experiences that may lower blood pressure and awaken your spirit.
“The sounds are recorded in high quality stereo to bring the natural ocean experience into your living room, car or yoga studio,” said Sea Life Center Executive Director Priscilla Kiessig. “Anyone can listen to the soothing Sounds of the Sea at bedtime for a relaxing, deep sleep or to unwind after a busy day at work. The CD is a perfect gift for visitors to the area, nature enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a relaxing experience.”
The CD was edited and mixed at Cabin 2 Studios in San Luis Obispo and mastered at Sutton Sound in Atascadero. All proceeds from CD sales will support the mission of the Sea Life Center and fund marine life science education programs.
CDs are available for purchase at the Sea Life Center in Avila Beach for $15 plus tax or at various locations throughout the Central Coast. Shipping is available on request by contacting the Sea Life Center at (805) 595-7280 or [email protected].
