slcusd logoSan Luis Coastal Unified School District has launched a new website that includes a cohesive design for each school. The redesign at SLCUSD.org reflects the district’s strategic initiatives for student success, which focus on creating an inclusive, “All Means ALL” culture of learning that prepares all students for success in the 21st century.

“The goal of San Luis Coastal is to make sure that all students have opportunities to succeed in our schools,” said Eric Prater, Superintendent of San Luis Coastal. “We want all students at every school within the district know that they are an important part of the district. The new site reflects that.”

The new site’s layout also makes finding information easier. “Almost everybody goes online for information these days,” said Prater. “This redesign makes it so that a parent or teacher or student could visit the pages for the district, one of our elementary schools, a middle school or high school and easily find what they’re looking for.”

The San Luis Coastal pages include a new color scheme that mirrors the district’s new logo and identity. Each school site has a similar format but keeps its logo and school colors.

“We wanted parents and students to be able to look at the site and say, ‘I know what my school stands for, and I’m proud to be part of this school and this district,” said Prater.

For socioeconomically disadvantaged families and those without access to the Internet, the district continues its efforts to provide access to technology, academic support and library resources.
