The SLO Bike Kitchen, a program of the San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition, is set to offer more open hours beginning on Friday February 28, 2014. Expanding from 10 to 15 operating hours per week and full weekend hours will give the public the chance to come in and get their bicycles in tip-top shape.
Since opening in 2010 over 6,000 people of all ages and abilities have used the Bike Kitchen to fix up their bicycles, find and donate parts and learn the art of bicycle maintenance. The Bicycle Coalition is thrilled to offer more convenient hours to provide guided instruction for all of your bicycle projects.
The new expanded Bike Kitchen hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. In addition to more open hours a tiered pricing system is also being introduced, allowing for half-day ($5) and full-day ($10) pricing options. Bicycle Coalition members receive 4 free visits as part of their membership – an incredible deal!
