SLO Little Theatre 350The San Luis Obispo Little Theatre is entering its 2014-2015 season, marking its 68th season in the community.

The upcoming season will feature 25 plays, 225 performances on 45 weekends between July 4, 2014 and June 30, 2015. The Little Theatre continually strives to bring the community a professional theatrical experience in all areas, and that is made possible through the people who generously donate their time. The actors onstage, the set builders and painters and the light and sound operators are all volunteers; as are ushers, greeters, bartenders and box office assistants. As a non-profit performing arts organization, the Little Theatre relies heavily on the generosity of its supporters and dedicated volunteers and with such an ambitious season ahead, the need for volunteers is that much greater.

Volunteer assistance is welcome in all areas, but front-of-house volunteers are particularly needed at this time. These positions include box office, patron hospitality and beer and wine bartenders.  These volunteers are essential in that they create the welcoming environment that greets our patrons the moment they walk in the door and helps to provide them with a unique and positive theatrical experience at each and every show.  Volunteers receive complimentary tickets, invitations to special events and have a lot of fun.  Volunteering for the Little Theatre offers an opportunity to be involved in one of the longest running community theatres in the nation, and to join a family of volunteers making a difference in our community. With a total of 225 performances over the next 12 months, there has never been a better time to give volunteering at the Little Theatre a chance.
