After more than 30 years of hosting, serving and feeding the who’s who of San Luis Obispo, the Spirit of San Luis may soon be under new ownership. Well, we shouldn’t say soon, as owner Doug Wagnon is in no hurry and has been patiently waiting for the right buyer who will carry on the spirt and tradition of the SLO landmark. Insiders report that there has been a lot of early interest. Over the past three decades Wagnon has created a family out of loyal clients and even more faithful employees, including one on the verge of three decades of service at the restaurant. With plans to travel and enjoy time with family in retirement, the longtime owner is looking forward to a lighter schedule.
