e-InsiderThe guys behind FireSwing Studios shoot high and it’s starting to pay off. The SLO HotHouse startup is the group behind the brand new Hearst Castle app that launched Nov. 6 in the Apple App store. The app provides historical content written by Hearst Castle researcher and author Victoria Kastner, including audio descriptions and extremely rare videos. When used at the castle the app tracks the user’s location and provides specific information per each site. It was created in collaboration with Hearst Castle Museum Director Hoyt Fields. FireSwing Studios is in the process of changing names to GuideKick and envisions similar apps for other historical locations such as Balboa Park in San Diego and Pearl Harbor.
