The San Luis Obispo Marathon, Half Marathon + 5K presented by LeftLaneSports.com announces the road closures for the Fourth race edition that takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. Below is the list and detailed times for the 26.2 mile street closures. The entire course roads will be closed to all vehicles, with the exception of marathon staff, emergency vehicles, residents with proof of identification and special needs citizens at the below listed times. In the downtowed town area streets of San Luis Obispo, “No Parking” signs will be posted and cars will be if left on the streets at closure time. For the safety of the 5000 runners and walkers participating, the marathon staff appreciates your patience and support in finding alternate routes. A detailed course map and Zone Maps with alternate routes can be found on the SLO Marathon website on the Road Closures Page. The marathon and half marathon courses will be staffed all day by the San Luis Obispo Police Department, California Highway Patrol officers, professional traffic management personnel, as well as hundreds of volunteer Course Marshalls and Traffic Control Staff. Avoid or drive slowly with caution in and around the race course.

We invite our neighbors and community to come out to support and cheer on our athletes as they make their way through our beautiful town. The public is also invited to the finish line and SLO Life Expo at the Madonna Inn in the Madonna Meadows (100 Madonna Road, San Luis Obispo) on race weekend, April 24-26. We will have a new Family Fitness Day and the whole community is welcome. Bring your children to participate in the FREE sports activities, get a FREE photo passport to fitness, meet local SLO area mascots, get their face painted (proceeds will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and get a Champions sticker!
