Discounted “Dirt Cheap” tickets for the Live Oak Music Festival’s first event at its new venue went on sale Friday, February 1, 2019. After 29 years in Live Oak Camp in Santa Barbara County, this year’s concert-goers will enjoy the 31st annual festival in San Luis Obispo County: El Chorro Regional Park on Highway One in Chorro Valley.

The festival is held every June to benefit KCBX Public Radio and features musicians of genres, including Afrobeat, soul, folk, gospel, roots rock, Americana and more. The three-day, family-friendly festival will take place Friday through Sunday, June 21 – 23, 2019. The Live Oak Music Festival will draw music aficionados of all ages to experience live concerts in a beautiful setting, with the county’s iconic volcanic peaks, the Morros, as the backdrop.

Nine acts have been confirmed for 2019 so far, with many more to be announced. Performers include Antibalas (Afrobeat), Shinyribs (Country-Soul Swamp-Funk), John Craigie (Americana Singer-Songwriter), Orquesta Akokán (Joyous Cuban Big Band), Soul Scratch (SoCal Soul), The Sons of the Soul Revivers (Traditional Gospel), Arthur Watership (Experimental Folk and Baroque Rock), The Sam Chase & The Untraditional (Kick-A** Folk), and The Cimo Brothers (Folky Classical World Rock). In addition to music, the festival offers a way to kick off summer, with local food, wine and beer for adults and plenty of games, activities and talent shows for children and teens.

Live Oak is providing discounted “Dirt Cheap” ticket pricing for a limited time, through February 28. A Full Festival Pass allows access to the festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Single-day passes are also available for adults, teens (13- 17), and children (ages 4 – 12). New this year, the festival is offering reserved RV spaces with and without hookups, and a Thursday entry for a minimal additional fee with a full festival pass.
