Discounted, ‘Early Bird’ tickets for Live Oak Music Festival’s second event at its beautiful new venue in El Chorro Regional Park, San Luis Obispo County are now on sale for a limited time through Tuesday, March 31, festival officials have announced. The festival is a major fundraiser for KCBX Central Coast Public Radio, an affiliate of NPR.

“Tickets are going fast, and all reserved RV sites have already sold out,” said KCBX General Manager Frank Lanzone. “There is still plenty of space for non-reserved RV camping but we recommend getting your tickets now to lock in the discount.”

The festival is held every June, featuring musicians performing a variety of genres, including Americana, Latin, California rock, folk and Afrobeat. This year, the three-day, family friendly event will take place Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21. Like its inaugural setting at El Chorro Park in 2019, the festival draws diverse music aficionados of all ages to the Central Coast to experience live music at its finest, with SLO County’s famous volcanic peaks, the Morros, as the scenic backdrop.

So far 12 musical acts have been confirmed for 2020, with several more to be announced. Performers include the Mother Hips (California Rock) and Rising Appalachia (folk/world/soul), both hitting the stage on Friday night, June 19. Also playing the festival are Indie/Americana singer-songwriter Steve Poltz, Jenny & the Mexicats (Latin), Mestizo Beat (funk/soul/Afrobeat) and local fave Damon Castillo (rock/soul). In addition to music, the festival offers a cool way to kick off summer with local food, wine and beer for adults and plenty of games and activities for children and teens.

After several years at Live Oak Camp in Santa Barbara County, concert-goers in 2020 will enjoy the second year at El Chorro Regional Park, conveniently located between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay on Highway 1 across from Cuesta College.

“We were thrilled with the sold-out reception at our new home last year and look forward to more great live music vibes this June,” added Lanzone.
