The Central Coast Aquarium is excited to announce the 3rd annual “Catch of the Central Coast” fundraiser dinner, Saturday September 12, 5:00 p.m. at the Harford Pier in Avila Beach.
This year, guests will enjoy a unique setting of spectacular ocean views while dining over the water on the Harford Pier at the Port San Luis Harbor in Avila Beach. This limited seating event will include live music and both a live and silent auction. Guests will be able to choose from a locally sourced sustainable seafood dinner or non-seafood options, complete with local wine.
“Our goal is to inspire people to think, act and to feel connected to the ocean and the life within it,” Executive Director Tara Malzone said. “Holding our fundraiser fifteen feet above the oceans surface is the perfect place to celebrate marine education.”
Catch of the Central Coast is a benefit for the Central Coast Aquarium (CCA) a San Luis Obispo County non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to cultivate a community dedicated to ocean stewardship through education, engagement and action.
Many locals experience the CCA through its Avila Beach location and public aquarium. However, its primary mission is to serve the community as a marine science education center for children. The organization has been serving school children across six counties for 20 years. The CCA is also responsible for providing marine programs to over 20,000 kids between Monterey and Santa Barbara every year.
Tickets are available July 1 by going to the CCA’s website www.centralcoastaquarium.com Admission for this one of a kind affair is $125 per person, or tables of eight for $1,000. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Please reply to this email for details.
