A total of 43 Cuesta College Fine Arts students will showcase 51 works of art in Cuesta College’s Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, running April 15th to May 13th in the college’s Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery. On the evening April 15, an opening reception, open house, faculty exhibit and award ceremony will take place. The events celebrate the hard work and talent of the Cuesta College Fine Arts Program students.

“This year’s submissions are exceptional,” said Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery Assistant Sabrina Jenkins. “We have fine art submissions in the mediums of ceramics, digital art, drawing, graphic design, mixed media, painting, photography and more. This exhibition is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain recognition for their work, and for the public to come out and experience what our Fine Arts Department has to offer.”

Open House and Faculty Exhibit will be on April 15th, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by the Annual Juried Student Exhibition from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the Student Awards Ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m.

The student works were juried by artist Robbie Conal, who is considered one of the country’s foremost satirical street poster artists. This year, there were 183 art work submissions by 86 students.
