The SLO Chamber celebrates the 60th Anniversary for member, United Way of San Luis Obispo County, with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
United Way of San Luis Obispo County celebrated its 60th anniversary at a 60th Anniversary Jubilee on February 8, 2018 at the San Luis Obispo Veteran’s Memorial Building.
The program included recognition of United Way’s achievements in the past 60 years and celebratory awards of volunteers and local business. Among those to be honored are Bert and Candace Forbes, who were inducted into the Tocqueville Society, a national society inspired by Alexis de Tocqueville. Diamond Sponsor ITW Global Tire Repair was also honored, and memorabilia and photos from the 60 year history were on display during the event; according to a press release.
